The iCue has reached a whole new level in reliability and ease!
Our first show with the iCue was for over 200 important city council members including the
mayor of Los Angeles. A high-pressure situation for sure.
The soundboard was set up at the back of the very large ballroom, there was going to be no
access to the iCue or our mini disk player during our performance. When our play-on music
didn't play, my heart sank, but looking at the large LED display on the iCue, I knew instantly
that the iCue had received the correct signal, and music should be playing. I pointed to the
sound guy who had mistakenly muted the sound board. The music played, our microphones came to
life, and the audience never knew that anything was wrong!
The iCue happily blinking away in the back of that ballroom,
displaying the next track number to be played, gave me such a
comforting feeling. No more guessing! Did I hit the button once?
Twice? Did I hit the correct button? Our show music can now be as
spontaneous as our show. Skip a routine, add a routine, no problem.
A subtle press or two of the small remote gets us to the track we need.
Do yourself a favor, and get an iCue. Can you put a price on peace
of mind? I think you can, and it's exactly the price of an iCue!
